7/14 reflection
I felt today's class and the Donovan program itself is a real example of the growth that our society has allowed in the field of education. I completely agreed with Melissa when she expressed that she is frustrated with the lack of progress that we as a society have made. I don't mean to contradict myself, but sometimes we do need to be grateful for where we've gotten thus far. The ending activity, our enthusiasm to incorporate it into our classrooms and even our quick critical analysis of it show me that we are headed in the right direction! Sometimes we can get what i call "educationally depressed" when dealing with the harsh widespread realities of our field and we have to remember to find and seek out the growing positive changes that are blossoming and give us hope. This is my pick me up shout out to Melissa and everybody who feels the same way; we're in this together!
