7/19 Reflection

I think the Ladson-Billings article was a great answer to the many students in our class that have been asking "how do we do multicultural education and what does it look like?" I've seen this in a number of posts so this should give us some solutions. It's not necessarily what we do or how it looks, but how we do everything and what is the result. We should do everything with the intent to serve all of students EQUITABLY (not equally) and the results of what we do should be the exact opposite of patterns that have created the achievement gap. Everything we try isn't going to work, but we have to continuously switch our game plan when we're not winning. This is a "we" thing because our students and their families are depending on us to work together for academic achievement!
